I too need to adjust my headlights. When I took out the sealed beams to put in a bulb conversion I had to take out the brackets for the headlights to do some trimming and they definitely aren't ajusted right now and im not sure how they should be set up.i heard something that if u go to a flat wall and park your truck in front of it I think its like 20 feet from it the headlight should be a certain distance from the bottom but i don't know what that distance is.

I just find a nice flat stretch of country road and adjust them the way I like. I cover one with cardboard or whatever is handy and do them one at a time first, then adjust to my liking with both shining.

Works good for me.

I adjust by eye as well. If people start blinking their brights at me I know I have them aimed a little high.

For those of us that are too **** to eyeball anything here is what I do.

Put the truck 10 to 12 feet back from a wall, garage door etc. Using a tape measue, string or whatever pull a line from the center of the truck to the wall, mark with tape. I hook a tape measure at the center of the hood up by the cowl and line up on the center ridge of the hood.

Measure center to center and from the ground up to center on the headlights. Transfer this to the wall so you have an + for both headlights.

With the low beams on center each light L/R on the |. Adjust the top of the bright spot of each headlight to the -. Whith the high beam on the bottom of the bright spot should be on the -.

My method's a little simpler, but it seems to work. I find a wall in a flat parking area. I square up to the wall, then run up to it until my bumper's touching it. I put the high beams on and mark the center of each bright spot on the wall. I then back away from the wall about 25' and adjust the beams to hit the same spots. If your lights were out a whole lot at the start, you may have to do the procedure twice to center the beams.
