H2 wheels on a 1st gen?

Like the title says...anyone done it or has seen pictures? Cheap 17" aluminum wheels is the reason.

Oh and I've been lurking for a week or so reading, great site!

I am fairly confident the bolt circle is the same, but some of the GM wheels use the lugs to hold the center caps on. If the hummer wheels are that way you may need to do some handywork as the GM lug studs are larger. Also might need to check the angle of the lug tapers, you might not find a nut that works on the combo.

Last I checked 17" tires are pricey, keep that in mind.

It seems to me like I read that you also need to enlarge the center opening to make them work on a Dodge. I have seen them on a 1st. gen so I know they work. They also look good.
Welcome to the site by the way.

either fourwheeler or petersen's bought an ebay truck 3/4 ton w/ v10 and put hummer wheels on it. they had to machine the centers for the hubs to fit and couldnt use the center caps on the rear

Yep. It was Petersens 4 wheel & Off road. I believe they would work fine. Might have to do the machining of the center, but i think they are fine other than that. I would personally use dodge centercaps on them off a 2nd or 3rd gen. I dont like the hummer centercaps

Thanks guys. The hummer caps are lame...I've seen a few 3rd gens with them on with the Dodge center caps and they looked nice! Just curious about them on our body style.

Thanks again, I'll have to compare prices of tires now that it's brought up. Might be worth staying with the 16" if it's a huge difference. The PO has D range tires put on...I have no idea why, but I need to step up some E range tires for the weight I'll have on it.

going to be to much offset on a 1st gen, at least for my taste. Hummer rims have around 4.5" of offset.

I have never seen H2 rims on one, but I have seen a lot of H1 rims on Dodge axles. They are beadlocked and popular with the extreme off road crowd for a cheap beadlock.

Here you go! Good bunch of folks, had a chance to hang once when living in Colorado. They're all about the old K5 platform, but as you can see, they've taken it to another level...I saw that truck when it still looked, well, like a Blazer
