H2 wheels on a 1st Gen?

Are there any issues with putting the H2 wheels on a first Gen Dodge. The hole pattern is correct, but what about the back spacing?

If the backspace is the same as the 3rd gen dodge wheels 1 1/2 inch spacers work well, or 2 inch spacer, but I found, if you are cutting holes in hubcaps for your lockouts, 1 1/2 work better, or else the lockouts will be recessed inside of the caps. (on 3rd gen wheels) I think hummer wheels are similar, but not sure. I personally think dodge wheels look better though.

Not that it matters with your race/drag truck, but there are issues with the H2 wheels being that they're cheap castings that come out of Brazil and NDAs keep the real weight rating a mystery. Lets just put it this way, the H2 Alcoa upgrades that are forged ALU only come with a 2750 lb weight rating. This is all aside from the fact that they need spacers, and machine work to actually fit.

i have seen h2 wheels on a 1st gen pulling truck. no idea what he had to do to get them on. i know at least on a 2nd gen you need to enlarge the center hole.

I appreciate the information. I passed on the wheels. It would have been a good deal, but It sounds like they are just the wrong back spacing. I never realized how difficult it is to find 17" wheels for a first gen.

It's difficult to find just about anything for a 1st Gen nowadays.

I actually put a set of rims off a 2003 silverado on my dads first gen. Best part is they were free. I had to chuck them up in the lathe and bore out the pilot holes. Didn't have to use any spacers. It really throws people for a loop when they see it
