Getrag shifter tool.

Im working on pics now.. I was just so excited to have found an easy way to do it that i had to share. I finally came up with a method that my scrawny self can use to mess with the shifter. I can have the shifter out... then back in just like that.

as you can see, it is regular 1 inch pvc with a slot in it for the shifter. It (the pipe) extends to the bottom of the dash. to use the tool, i press down on the pvc, and insert a 2x4 between the dash and and the top of the pipe to hold the shifter in place. takes less than a minute.

Where did you get that shifter base? Mine is threaded, and the shift lever threads into it.

Interesting, my 92 has the screw on shifter.... That bolt on setup would be nice to have so I could get the shifter over to my side of the truck.... LOL
