fuses 1,2,4,5,6 are dead!?
fuses 1,2,4,5,6 are all dead. 1 and 2 are the a/c fan and the power windows. these should be powered by a keyed hot... however one of the bright PO powered it by a constant hot. they spliced into the constant hot that feeds fuses 4,5,6 door locks, stop lamps, and horn/ext lamps. now it makes sence to me why the a/c fan would stay on when the truck was off. the original feed wire to the #1 and #2 fuses is dead no matter what i do (key on or off) and the original feed to the #4,5,6 is hot no matter what. but when i jump from the feed to power door locks i can't get them to do anything. no matter how i power these things nothing from 1,2,4,5,6 works, is there something that all of these run through that i could check? i'm lost.
oh and i tried the ignition switch it didn't help with this problem but does it make any sence that the starter seems to spin faster with the new switch?

home safe and sound... i should have said, this is on the 91 not the 92 i took to PA. how do i check the fusible links... i figured someone would say that but i need help finding and checking them.
p.s. wanna i checked 0-60 on the hill i told you about... i think i gained about 15feet or so. TC slipping? thought i would have gained more.

The fusible links are in the wiring harness on that fender. They look like sections of wire, but they are spliced in. You will know them when you find them. A fried one usually looks fried, but you can check them with a voltmeter if you are not sure.
We really didn't turn the truck up much, it just feels a lot snappier off the line because of the smaller housing.
Did you put that "throttle return" spring back where it belongs?
