fuel lines
thanks free89 for the tip on bleeding the fuel. here is my other question, i really dont want to bend new 5/16 fuel lines. i am ok at bending the brake lines i did but anyway can i use -6an fuel hose. it says that it wont collapse under heat, so will it be ok to use for a supply and a return
?????
?????
Yes that should be fine.
Check out these links. BC847 did the original and I did the second one for the non ic trucks.
BC's:

Mine:

Make sure you read the top one first, I believe he used the 6an. I just used regular fuel hose when I did mine because I had all needed fittings at work and I was to cheap to buy the other hose.
Good luck and make sure you keep everything clean and take your time.

Wanna, not trying to steal the thread, but what type of flex hose type fuel line material works for diesel fuel. Neoprene hose is no good? I just changed mine and I got just regular "fuel line" from advance.....

According to goodyear their version is rated for diesel.

From NAPA = GATES HOSE fuel line hose
3/8" 25' roll part # H177
SAE 30R7
XL Fuel Line
Wannadiesel, you listed them in order of strength.
In which order ??
Is 30R7 best or least ??
Thanks.
I also have a partial roll from Advance that I bought in a Saturday-everywhere-else-closed pinch, made in USA, no visible name-brand, SAE 30R6.
This hose easily squishes through the little slots in the hose-clamps and is obviously not of the quality of the Gates hose.
