Bigger fuel feed lines - same fuel return line?

Bigger fuel feed lines - same fuel return line?
I'm just curious if anyone has modified the fuel return line on their truck as a result of adding a bigger fuel feed line. As everyone knows, lot's of guys are going with 1/2" or 3/8ths feed lines and dumping the banjo's on their truck's. Does this cause any problems with the VP44 trying to dump the excess (if any) fuel? Just trying to learn so bear with me.
