Isb? Ctd?

What is the difference between the ISB and CTD and 24Valve? How do I know which one I have?

Let's start:
CTD - Cummins Turbo Diesel (goes for all model years)

ISB- Interact System B Electronic control engines, B stands for 5.9l displacement

24V 24 Valves You have a 24V ISB engine

Yeah, that drives me nuts every time I watch American Chopper Jr. and Sr. constantly say, "Let's put the motor in.". That drives me up a wall! I'm sure they know better, but why they keep saying it is beyond me!

I always thought an "injun" ran on tracks. you have diesel engines and steam engines, never motor engines.

I put electric motors in automated assembly machines, never an engine, but we have put lots of motors in trucks and cars. I did put an "engine" in a big dump truck.....diesel., however.

Never put an engine in a motor cycle. Why do you think they are called motor cycle??

B is not for just the 5.9L, there is also the 3.9L 4 cylinder which is a B series.
Also the new 6.7.
