Found a turbo, will it work?

I found a turbo from a 98 24 valve. Does this one have a 12 cm housing? I have found a few with 10 cm housings, will these be better than the 12s?

Thanks

Smaller housing = higher egts, not out of control just higher.

If you plan on towing, most people recommend a 16cm housing as the smallest. If it is a daily driver that doesn't tow, the EGT's will be higher, but I bet it would spool almost immediatley.

Hx35 would be a nice upgrade. The 12cm works well with the stick. You will have to move your exhaust backwards 1-1.5 inches.

I towed with mine this summer, probably about 14k truck and trailer, you just have to watch the egts. I did this with the fuel turned up. The only time it got hot was pullin up hills in 5th, which i shouldnt have been doing anyways. Buy it up!

Depends on if the backing plate on the hot side has the elbow built on it, or if its clamped on. Not sure what year that starts. Mine was from a 98 and it had the elbow v-band clamped on the back of the turbo, so the downpipe bolted right up. Just had to move it back as earlier stated.
