Question Book Found -- Will It Work ??

I found this book :

http://www.ringpinion.com/ProductDet...px?ProdID=5218

Have any of you guys got this book and does it give real good coverage of over-hauling limited-slip Dana 70s ??

Thanks.

Are the 70's rebuild-able? I now the 60's require a hole new center section.

I never check after market but from Chry, they were serviced as a unit only.

The FSM covers the overhaul in depth.

The FSM covers it in great detail.

I have rebuilt the Limited Slip portion twice in Mom's truck (second time was to fix up a shop's screw up, but I wont go into that). BAsically, disassemble, paying attention to how the carrier was assembled, and replace the internal parts, reassemble. No big sweat.

As for the R&P, it can be replaced as well. FSM is the best source I have found. The only time you need a new housing is if the bearings chewed up the housing or some poor set up caues some excessive wear.
