i was at the wrecker today and saw a borgwarner turbo from a chevy with the whole assembly, will a borgwarner turbo work with my stock holset turbo? would the borgwarner turbo need to go on the manifold then the holset one need to be the bottom onr that spools up the borgwarner one?

 

Depends on what borg warner it was. For twins you can run a ht3b, s400 (BW), or K31 on big turbo I believe. But you wouldnt want to run your h1c for twins. The smallest you would want to run would be a hx35. Not sure but a upgraded h1c may work for twins...ill let the compound experts get in and clear up the mess I just made .

 

oh ok, so ill need to replace the stock one on my truck with larger one such as a hx35?

 

It all depends on how big the Borg Warner is. What size engine is it from? Many compounds use the turbo from an N14 as the bottom turbo.

I don't see why an H1C wouldn't work. I've got one on my set, but it's got a stage 4 upgrade. Stock would probably work fine as long as it has a wastegated housing or an external gate.
