I read somewhere that a mustang shifter boot could be used to repair the factory lower one. Now I can’t find any information on how to do it. Or what year car anyone have any ideas?
I remember that thread too, but can not remember who posted it.
I think he took part of a Mustang boot and RTV'ed it onto the center of the OEM Dodge lower boot so it still mounted up in the OEM way.
When I got my truck about 15 years ago the floor boot was trashed so I bought a bellows type from Summit IIRC to replace it. It had to be big to cover the hole in the floor. Later on I used a universal CV boot and cut it down to fit the tower out of the G360.
That pleather boot is a nice option, but without an under boot, water, salt and dirt will splash up and into the truck soaking the carpeting / jute padding and rotting out the floor.

Done some internet surfing may have found the mustang shifter boot that works it’s ordered I guess I’ll know when it gets here
Please post up pics and part # if it works for you. I did not have one on my truck with the NV4500 conversion, I just packed the shift boot area with the fiberglass type insulation I used as underlay and roof insulation....seems to be working out fine for me, but a proper boot would be nice.
