I'm confused by the picture of the IP marks. Yes, by the marks it looks like timing is retarded but I think I see slotted hole visible above the nuts so that the pump can't be moved in the advanced direction. Is that true, or just dirt? More confirmation that it's a replacement pump?

I never noticed that 'slot' until you mentioned it now. I will have to go and look at it tonight. Now that I have a fresher engine on it's way I will be rebuilding this 5.9 and adding some goodies to it ...either sell it or put it in something else.
