Talking First real pull !!

Well today I went into the hills of the Finger Lakes and picked up my brother in laws 18' tandemn axle trailer and Kubota 3710 with front end loader. Not sure of the exact weight but I'd have to guess about 7-8K lbs. The back roads are curvy and steep hills. On those roads I had the truck in tow/haul mode. Held speed pretty good through most of that part. I got out onto a main road and then an expressway. Sweet!! I took it out of tow/haul mode and it held overdrive on all but one short stretch of incline the rest it held 70 mph on all other hills and never came out of overdrive. Can't wait to get my camper out for a run.

It is fun isn't it not to have it shift down. I don't use tow/haul unless I'm going well under 60. With it off it won't shift down very often hauling a load.

You must have one healthy truck then.. I noticed the difference when I unhooked an empty 6x12 dual-axle box trailer.. I noticed it wouldn't light up the duals when I lay on it with it attached.

I rode with a PSD guy who claimed the same thing.. "Pulls the same empty, or with my junk behind it" (Junk = 16' trailer + 4wd rig).. he was right... it was slow without the trailer, and slow with the trailer. I guess that's what he meant.
