Factory Tach?

Could you get a factory tach in 91? I am looking at one and the guy says about the only option it has is a tach. Is it out of the question to put a/c and cruise on one of these?

91.5 you could, intercooled model in other words. Cruise is not hard, now a/c may be a bit of a challenge. I think there are aftermarket systems available or once available but dont know if they still are.

I'm fairly certain a tach was avaliable in '91, but really hard to find for any 1st gen.
The best way to do the air is a donor Dodge from the same era. The cruise is tied in with the PCM on the '93s, but I know the early 1st Gens had a mechanical speedo, so it might be possible to retro fit one of those. I will look at my schematics tonight.

If it does have a factory tach, where did they put them?

The "factory" tach was a dealer installed (or DIY) Mopar accessory for '92 and '93 trucks. The older trucks don't have a crank sensor.

My early 91 had a factory tach in it. Getrag with a crank sensor.

If its got a factory tach or even a factory installed tach, then that is worth the price of AC & cruise . OEM tachs go for the price of half a dozen aftermarket ones sometimes!

Do like rbrett said and compare to the previous post's picture.
