Factory add on tach for a 91.5

I bought a 91.5 intercooled cummins 4wd 5spd a few months back for parts. It has the add on chrysler tach. Is this tach the same as the 92 and 93 which just plug in under the dash or is it a one year only type of deal?

I'll always be using 92 and 93 wire harnesses in my conversion projects so if this tach won't work with those I'll sell it. If not I'll keep it

That's a rare set-up, one year only I think? Or it might work on 89/90's as well?

It should have CPS and wiring to send the signal to the tach. Will it work for 92/93? Don't think so. The tach "might" work, depending if it uses the same plug, but the rest of the system is different.

Snap a pic of the male plug on the tach. I am fairly certain they are the same tach used in both applications. As Cows wrote the one you have is extremely rarer than the mid-91-93 tachs. Honestly I think you will be able to add the end to it even if its slightly different. The male end, wire ends, and red retainer were still available the last time I checked. That's if you want it to look stock. If you really don't care then simply buy a pack of mini male spade connectors and crimp them on the four ends. Its a very simple setup. Grey, black, red, and orange. I can tell you which go to which if you need.

Ya I'll have to look to see if it has the same connector as my 92 and 93 trucks have. I'll look at the cps and see if it looks factory. Damper pulley would likely have to be changed too I suppose.

Freight train I believe this to be a 91.5 truck, it's 91 and intercooled so just assuming...
