Ok guys........I was checking around today and found that the previous owner put a piece of cardboard to block out half of the radiator between the intercooler and radiator.

So I took the truck out and got it warm and ran if for a about 30 minutes driving around.

I really only noticed the water temperature lower.

At 65mph in 5th gear I was running 500 (post turbo) with 4 on the boost gauge with the cruise on.

She did get a little warmer like 650 when going through the gears.

This is with no load.

I cleaned the air filter, made sure the air box, and duct work all clear, checked the turbo for play side to side and in and out which there was none, also checked the intercooler connections for cracks or hose issues but none.

Thanks guys !

Hi guys, don't mean to jack the thread but I'm need some advise, I'm concerned that something is not right with my egt temps. I got a 93 12v with bd 40hp sticks, 12cm turbo with upgraded impellers and horn, (30psi)fuel screw turned into the collar and 3200rpm spring. Timing is advanced 1/8th inch and running thinest injector washers. Truck goes like a bat out of h*ll. but wot only gets me 850 on pyro, maybe 950 if I'm pulling. (post turbo) that seems offly low.
Should I trust the pyro, and say that 900 all day will not hurt a thing?

If you didn't want to hijack the thread, then why did you.

Actually, quite a bit of energy is taken off the exhaust by the turbo. That makes the temp drop about 300° when yer on the hammer, so yer plenty hot. (probably 1250° pre turbo)

I had the same issue when I got my truck from my dad. he had wired a big pioneer seed corn, sign in front of the radiator, now it gets cold here in MI but not that cold. What does your exhaust look like? Could there be any down stream blockage?
