difference -92 - 93
I'm not having any luck searching at the moment,
Can anyone give me a quick list of differences 92 to 93? (intercooler?)
What is the 'rust' potential of these in a poor climate? I'm looking at a 92 CTD 4x4 CC 5spd that came to PNW from IL, and is said to have rust in floor pan and doors and fenders.
It is a one owner 5spd w190k, seems reasonably priced, (~$6k) tho I would like to lower the cost to cover replacement parts

92 and 93 are nearly the same, Most 92s had 21 CM exhaust housing on the turbo, the 93 usualy had an 18.5 housing which will spool the turbo faster and give a little more overall boost.
either way I would put a 16 CM housing on.
I believe the early 91s are non intercooled. all 92s should be intercooled.
Good luck on your search

They rust very nicely. Floors, rocker panels, and above the windshield are the common spots. Above the windshield they rust from the inside out, so if you see bubbled paint up there, walk away - it's way worse than it looks.
