I would not use odd for the discription but, I am about half way through putting a Cummins in an 85 K5 Blazer, Dana 60 front, Corp 14bolt rear, 6B, Getrag, NP 205. I can't wait untill some poor power choke driver decides to race the Blazer with the 6.2 ratteling under the hood.

BTW, how much of that Cummins is going to stick out of your hood? Have you considered the drag coefficient of a 6B?

Not all fritoLay trucks have Cummins Diesels in them. The 4bt to GM adapter come up on ebay quit a bit, The starter is on the other side from the Dodges. They sell pretty good on ebay i sold mine for $600 on ebay awhile back for the adapter, starter, flexplate and Converter spacer. The guy i got mine from sayed through Cummins is was over $1100.00.

 

for that monet you can get it all aftermarket and its in billet super strong.and it clocks the motor srtaight up and down, it think this will help me.

 

I would think that weight would be your biggest issue... One.. getting the front end to hold it.. and then getting the weight to transfer...
Do a search on youtube.. there was a clip going around of a 5.9 in something like an old Monty...
I know its a 4200rpm spring.. but I really don't think that it fuels hard to that rpm... (or even gets to that rpm loaded..)

yea i have no int. of that kind of rpm we only run the 1/8 mile so dep. on how quick it is i think, the 3200 will be enough i see what your talking about though. as far as wieght it will work fine theres guys running old iron big blocks in these cars 850+ lbs no prob. i know the 5.9 is heavier than that even but there are a lot of after market front end parts out there heavy springs ect.. for road racing if needed it sets way high now in the front now as if the 327 is lighter than the inline 6 tha came in it? well were putin , ol 6 back in her !
