I researched this idea awhile ago and decided an aftermarket setup might be the way to go.
Here's one. http://www.transmissioncenter.org/cu...bt_adapter.htm
3910516 is the cummins part# for the adapter only. I checked and it had been superceeded. Was like $700.
Major drawbacks: puts the engine (or tranny) and a 10* angle, and the auto version flywheel will not hold much power.

Anyways don't let me discourage you, just my 2 cents.

the car with 327/350 setup wieghs 3050 runs 8.2 on the motor 7.5 on 175 shot,4.56 gears with 28" tires, i was thinking a 3.00 gear with the 28.s and 2800 rs would allow for around 80-82 mph if this isnt enough [gear bound] then i could do the gov. spring deal and get what? 3200-3400 or maybe more this i know would be more than enough 110+ mph ol 12 valve v.e. pump motor want do that huh, ive got a new sitzer 300 turbo i will put on and also new injectors 40 or 60 hp dont remember but their new. and will learn the tricks to turn up the pump and bump the timing what do yall think, the turbo was on my 02 24 valve and was a huge improvment over the stock HX 35 W my 93 is what a hy 21 or 27 right ? i looks small but with at least a 18 cm turbine its huge a very lagy. any other opinions thanks all , ryan

Well I am not sure about a VE for sure, but the p pump guys run a 4K Governor all the time. I have been told you need a good harmonic dampener with it. There are bad harmonics at 4100 . I have the 3200 spring and it pulls real good. Will spin to 3500 with light load, but lays down after 3200 when pulling.

thanks my math says at 3200 with a 3.00 gear and 28" tire is 89 mph, im sure it will be cutting it close if it dont go gear bound before i bet its soon after , but thats o.k. long as im under power for 660 feet!!!!! thanks do wish they made a 3400 to be sure though.

They make a 4200, not sure of a part number, but piers has them...BTW, HOW are you going to fit a 5.9 in a 260z? Thatd be crazy, but tight for sure. Id like to see this done, as it would be wickedly fast.

oh it will fit ive measured and remessured the narrowed cummins with the pretty flat oil pan will work out fine for me only thing tight is turbo i was thinking a 3rd gen manifold to aim the t. down rather than straight out, they all interchange right , will the super b bolt to the 3rd gen? wont be using on intercooler either if temps are a concern ill put a snow kit on it , itd be good for power to remember only 660'. thanks ryan

any one else put a cummins in something odd, besides all the extra wieght its got to be one of the coolest engines to do this with, im ordering the parts after market easier and stronger and a lot more money! THE SWAP SHOULD TAKE ME TOO LONG being its a race ready car that i use every other weekend. wish it was the next year motor with the P pump but its not well see what this little ve pump is all about i know very little about this pumps power output , i want to spent money smartly in the right places, already have S300 turbo, and like marine inj. bought to put on the now stock engine with only 80 something thousand miles not muck for an 93 huh. s300 uses a 4" down pipe that will soon be prob. a 8-10" uppipe. can you see it !
