Frito Van Engine Plate

First
I am looking for a frito van engine plate (the one with the Chevy tranny bolt pattern on it) anyone have one laying around? or any idea where I can get one also what starter is used with one ? do the use the 1st or 2nd-3rd gen type starter? my plans are to use a '92 5.9CTD with a sm 465 tranny and a np 205 transfer case in my new project.

If you can't find it anywhere else you can probably find it at Advance Adapters in Paso Robles California. Their website is www.advanceadapters.com

I think the one I am looking for is Cummins p/n 3910516 . Can any one help me verify this my local cummins shop has thier parts dept, down for remodeling.

advanced adapters is a great place but a lot of thier "adaptors" are just factory parts that are priced at 4 to 5 times the cost of the part that you can get new from the dealer. I am not knocking them for this it takes a lot of time to match all this info up. like thier adaptor to put a dana 300 transfer case behind a sm465 costs $395 from them and you can get it from a chevy dealer for $78 if you know the part number or the application it was used in from the factory.

Not sure how much you were planning on spending, but http://www.reliablegoods.com shows they have them new for $369.03, and used for $260.96.

Glad it helped. I've ordered from them before (late model flexplate), and the service was good and shipping fast. It's a great site to keep bookmarked.
