Cruise control resetting
Strange occurrence since I put my new springs in.
The truck rides a lot stiffer than previously, although not hard hitting any longer. Hoping that that will subside over time.
While on the highway today, I came upon a bridge joint, where the truck bounced a little from the deviation of the bridge, and the road leading up to it. The hit wasn't terrible, but enough to "un-set" my cruise control, which I had turned on @ around 60mph. I reset it, and on the next bridge, the same thing happened.
Anyone have their cruise disengage because of a bump in the road ? Nothing that I think needs fixing.... just really weird.

Mine did the same thing. didn't fix it for a while, then my brake lights wouldn't shut off. i fixed the brake light switch, and boom, it fixed my cruise control as well.

Thanks guys.
I'll check that brake light switch and make sure it's not coming on while driving. I could always bungee the pedal to the steering wheel and go over the same bridge.....
and if I forget about the bungee, I'd turn right into a concrete wall on the side of the bridge when I hit the brakes

Could also be slack in the tilt wheel. Mine sometimes does this if I move the wheel around up and down. At 1 notch in the tilt it has slack. Probably been in that position most of the time. Try another notch to see if it does it again or not.

If you have a brake controller, check the settings, the inertia control (de-decelerate) might be set to sensitive, anything that activates your brake lights will disengage the cruise control.
Also I had a habit of resting my foot under the brake pedal to keep the lights from flickering when I went over a bump (driving the freeways)and messed up the switch adjustment making it overly sensitive.
Hose clamp fix is in the sticky.
