Question >>> lund visor fitment <<<

I just made an attempt to fit a LUND lighted visor, freshly painted and given a couple months to cure, onto the son's 1990 REGULAR-CAB.

I had bought this visor at a swap-meet and the guy in all honesty said that "it came off my old Dodge that was just like that one over there" ---; the truck he pointed out was indeed a regular-cab, but maybe of older vintage as I could not see the grille from my vantage point.

Long story a bit shorter, this nice shiny black visor is a no-go on a 1990 regular-cab.

It is stamped with part # 19042

As best I can tell in the dark, standing on a milk-crate, with a dim flash-light, the wife's visor --- regular-cab --- is stamped #19000

It seems like this was all covered some years ago, but I can't find it.

I have either gotten ahold of a visor for an extended-cab or for an earlier cab.

It is my understanding that LUND is no longer; and, these year-model trucks have long been dropped from the books.

Is this 19042 lighted visor indeed for an extended-cab ??

Also, I need the part# for a non-lighted visor that fits this 1990 regular-cab, just in case I run across another at a swap-meet.

Laying on the ground they all look the same.

Thanks.

If that be so, then why is the lighted visor on the wife's regular-cab a #19000 and it fits perfect ??

Does anyone know the correct number for a REGULAR-CAB UN-LIGHTED visor ??

By the way, these numbers are stamped on the top surface of each visor on the right/star-board side.

It will say PART NO _ _ _ _ _

Thanks.

hello bearkiller do you still have the 19042 visor? I might have a 19000 visor, which is the correct visor for the 81 to 93 reg cab trucks. If I do not have that one, I might have the 12027 which is the non lighted one.

Although they look cool, I found all they are good for is giving you less fuel mileage.

Had one on a different truck and one day the "awesome wind" we have up here ripped it right off. I over killed it when I mounted it as well.

Just food for thought.

I've seen some lighted visors with cab lights and it looks odd to me.

See if you can find your part number on the visor, your looking for a Part# of 12111. They are listed here in case you want a new one http://www.4wheelsupply.com/lund/vis...sors-dodge.htm
