Sweet truck, I think the front end looks good on the older trucks but its your truck and coin. Do what you think is best. How in the world do you Canada guys find rust free rigs up there? Good luck with the build.
Welcome
Hey another Manitoban........welcome to the site and good luck with your project. It'll be nice to see another crew with a Cummins.
Freight Train, don't know about the others, but I run south of the border for my rust free 1st gens

Since you're going to be doing some Frame Work, I recommend using the frame off of the '93 and just do a body swap to add the Crew-cab itself. The '93 frame is 8" tall and your 1980 W200 is most likely 7" tall... Would make life a lot easier in the long run and you'd have a more robust chassis.
The reason to swap to a crew cab is because they stopped making them after '85 but they continued to make HUGE improvements through '93... You have a better starting point there just my opinion.
