Yes, another brake question!

OK gang, I got the spongy brake pedal disease.
I'm on my 3rd master cylinder, first two were re-mans from Oreilly's, this one is a NEW (non re-man) M/C and booster unit from napa, which I've yet to install because.....

I don't have a combination valve on my truck! It looks like someone has removed it and installed a (from what I can tell) a residual valve in it's place.

Here's the rundown of my 'plumbing'
Both lines (one front, one rear) Exiting the M/C into a proportioning valve, then again both lines into this "residual valve" Front line exits there and splits to each caliper. Rear line exits and travels down the frame rail to RWAL and then on to wheel cylinders.
I know this isn't right due to the missing combination valve.
So, my questions are
According to my FSM our trucks aren't even equipped with a proportioning valve, because as I understand it the "Combination Valve" is just that a combination of a proportioning valve and residual valve....Right?
Are the combination valves even still available?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

You are correct, the combination valve combines the two.. Try bleeding the Rwal first, then right rear drum, left rear drum, then right front and left front.

I believe that the combination valve is the proportioning valve on these trucks. It is the combination of the metering valve and the proportioning valve. They are available, I believe I got mine from wermopar.com (I think that is right). It sounds like you have something extra. The metering part is the part that pokes out when the brakes are applied. If I am wrong I am sure that Wanna will correct me...Right??????? Mark P,S. this is off my receipt Items Ordered:
Item: Brakes, Hydraulic system, Pressure metering valve, PRESSURE METERING VALVE, All Models, 4WD
Price: $124.12
Tax: $0.00
Qty: 1
Total: $124.12 and it is wermopar.com...

The RWAL can also give you headaches. It contains an accumulator cylinder with a spring loaded piston. If the valve for the accumulator is leaking or stuck open, then you are pushing against a spring loaded piston as well as your wheel cylinders.

Maybe, Thank you Very much!
Spent all day cruising parts stores, junkyards, and finally the dealer. Of course no one had one.
But it looks like WeRMopar has em! Went up a few bucks since you got yours, but that's to be expected.
And yeah, I definitely got some extra 'stuff' in there. I should be well versed in tubing bending and flaring by the time this deal is done!

Cougar, thanks for the tip! I'm slowly working my way rearward. Anyone know if the RWAL's can be disassembled for cleaning or rebuilding?

Thanks guys, you
