Coolant leak ?? Name This Gasket

Hey guys found a coolant leak on the passenger side of the engine towards the front. At first i thought the lower hose was leaking but its dry. Im seeing it run down the block where the lower hose housing meets the engine. Im going to start with a new stat & housing Oring. I think ill replace the lower hose too it look a tad on the old side and for $15 its cheap insurance to not have to deal with a coolant leak in that area again. I'll let yall know what i come up with if i find out what it is before yall do.

I think it's probably the water pump.

Ok i was mistaken i meant upper hose and after i looked at it the leak seems to be coming where that casting that the lower hose attaches to meets the engine. Thats looks to be all casted one piece with the tensioner assembly i believe. Plz correct me if im wrong

I lost the water pump and the alternator within 500 miles of each other. That truck ( now sold ) had 225,000 or so when they decided to go south. I was lucky because the day it seized the alternator I had it running in the yard on high idle by itself for about an hour. ( I had left the lights on and needed to charge battery back up ). I lost the alternator later that day. I would have melted the engine cause it broke the belt off when it went.

I know you all are sayin water pump but have any of you ever changed the oring/gasket for this casting that goes between the lower hose and the block? I dont mean to seem ignorant but ive looked and theres no coolant coming from the water pump the only coolant im seeing is coming right from the bottom of that casting. Ive found the oring at a dealer the dodge number p/n: 4429697 He said he can have it tues id like to fix it this weekend. I saw another post where someone just gooped it up with silicone anyone know if this is a viable fix. Id rater fix it right but if i have to cake it up till then i will. I need my wheels. Lemme know guys thanks

If you've looked closely at the pump and it's dry, then go with the o-ring. It's just that the water pump is a lot more common spot for 'em to leak.
