clutch?
I'm finally gearing up to swap the nv5600 into my 92 and I have a clutch question. I was going to get a south-bend clutch and resurface the nv5600's stock flywheel. My question is; Is the south-bend clutch worth double the cost of a Luk clutch(that is my other option)?
A bit about the truck and use:
Mods;
3200RPM spring
HX35 stock 96 housings
Power Stroke Intercooler
4" DE going on during tans install
DDP 50HP injectors
Pump turned up a bit , maybe halfway to max on power screw
planning on but not yet LP piston lift pump
used for:
mostly highway, fair amount of towing(probably more miles towing than empty) typical load of 5-10K trailer weight, would like to be able to handle the occasional 16K trailer. I don't try to race it or drive overly aggressive there isn't any point it just smokes a lot and isn't all that fast but keeping up with traffic while towing is pretty common.

Okay maybe a better question at this point is what kind of power it this truck making so I can pick the right clutch. After more reading on forums I'm leaning more towards the South Bend again.

I have a couple stock clutches... 1st and 2nd gen. The 1st-gen setup has more surface area. I'm gonna stick with exactly that for now. You think it can work with nv5600 as a cheap(ish) upgrade?

I ended up ordering the South Bend 1947-ok-hd. I talked to south bend this morning. I was on the fence about getting a flywheel, the one I have got pretty rusty so for the price of resurfacing and what not I just went for it. I still don't know how much power my truck has but it smoke the clutch that's in it in badly. I can't believe it has over 850 ft lbs so this should be a safe bet. More than I wanted to spend but it should be some good motivation to actually do the swap now.

You will be glad you did it. When I done my 5600 I used a 450 horse valair single disk with there upgraded hydro's. If you have any questions about the swap feel free to ask!

My biggest question right now is does it fit in the body? I don't mind cutting a new shifter hole but I really don't want to go hacking up anything else. I've been thinking about doing a 1-2" body lift just to get away from clearance issues.
