Club cab owners - how to get rear windows open?

Seems like a simple thing to do - open the back windows
Feels like I'll break something trying to open them
Took one off, cleaned the hinge and white greased it
Still can't open
I'm missing something
Suggestions?
Cheers

Glass is on a spring hinge. It only opens a inch or two.
Are you talking about the flipper lock at the front of the window.

Mine are the same way. Old windows don't like to open, careful though I tried opening mine last summer and broke the hinge apart from the window.

Thanks guys
Buddy, I cleaned and lubed that flipper device.
Worked fine on the bench, but not when I installed it.
When I pull inward (before you would push out), feels like I could break something

Your window seals might not be pliable enough be really old to allow for the movement of the break over of the latch.

I want to see someone take a Dodge minivan, of the early 90s vintage, and grab the motor and switches for automatic opening and closing from the drivers seat.

I think you can adjust that lock for how much PSI is put on the latch.

The spring in the latch assembly gets a bit stiff sometimes and makes it hard to unlatch. You can open it up and gently adjust the tension a bit if it becomes a problem.

Didn't know they were adjustable
I'll take another look

I like the idea of power vents - next time in the yard, I'll look. Would be nice to have a power rear slider window

Not technically adjustable but they can me massaged if you are careful. Open them up and look inside the latch and massage the retainer a bit.

Mine were so stiff I didn't use them for the first year I owned the truck. One day I figured I would see what happened if I just went for it and POP the window latch swings open. Takes a heck of a lot of force (two hands) but has never broken... It's all metal parts not like the plastic crap these days.
