converting manual windows to power windows

How hard is it to convert manual windows to power windows in a 2000 ram 2500? Can i get the parts and switches from a junkyard dodge pickup and install them? Is the wiring already there or do i have to run wires? Has anyone had experience doing this?

thanks,
mark

I suppose it could be done. However on an older rig I would actually prefer the non-powered window drives. Not too much to go wrong with these. It really may cost more time and $$$ than it's worth...just my $.02

I agree with the manual windows.
You would be better off to find 2 complete doors.

96_12v try the Eletric life kits. I put one in my 77 and am very happy with them.

Thanks. This is for a 2000 a friend is looking at. Low miles but no power options. Its a long reach over to the passenger side window to roll it down and hear the beautiful exhaust sound..!

There basically just goes over the post for the hand crank and turns that, so if the electronics were to fail you can easily go back to manual

I'd just get the armatures and motors at the JY... shouldn't cost much at all, and very easy to swap out.
