Changing the oil

In one of the doddge diesel mags there was a good writeup on oil filters some time ago. They said that the Fleetgaurd ( what is there numbering system ?) LF-3894 is the stratapour filter because of the medium that they use is better for trapping particles? If you wait a short time before you change the filter is will syphone ( spelling probably incorrect) down and then you don't spill any oil out of the filter. The 1300 series is a non syn oil I think. For a container to use I cut the top off just at the last horizontal support making it just above the handle for the 20 liter pail. Works well just have to wangle it a little bit to get it out. Wipe your oil filter base well and preoil you o-ring before you reinstall the mostly fillled oil filter.

Great idea; much better than the sacks that I had been using and just the right size.

I've never had to remove theintake to get at the oil filter..but i am skinny and have long, puny arms...

If you can get to that filter without removing that big hose, then you must be the "rubberman".
