Can you turn the denny t backwards?

ok guys here it goes. i mud with my truck as if you dont know already. and have been seeing higher than normal egts. 1500 for 1 second. i dont like going that high so i let off. i put the stock pin back in and have plenty of power still but it doesnt get as hot prolly 1400. i dont know if throwing an intercooler in would make a huge differnce since it will not be moving air. plus there is the possibility of it getting clogged

i got the temperature issues down with my electric pusher fan getting it to about 170 degrees at wot which is a bonus.

I have a ton of power but dont want to turn down the power screw everytime i want to mud it! but i do want lower egts. so i was wondering can i flip the denny t backwards and mud with it at a constant fueling? or would this be bad? and really lose me power? or should i just put my stock pin in and keep it at the lowest setting

If you turn the DennyT around it won't add fuel because its flat, or boost, it would have low power, think about it.

I'd say put the stock pin in and turn it to the NON deep side (stock) ...you know how most guys turn it to the deep side, DON'T do that. lol

every thought of a water to air intercooler? There cheap and compact. all you need is some plumbing and some cold ice water before each mud run.

Not all trucks came with the cone turned to the "shallow" side. Some trucks came from the factory with the cone turned to the deep side.

Just so you know...

Cool , It barely makes a difference though, on a stock profile pin, i also heard that the profiles changed over the years with number markings on the bottom lke "75"

When the grinder comes out is when it gets fun

I'm not sure exactly why the profiles changes. To my knowledge there are two different profiles.

I think it may have to do with the tranny the truck has. My '91 auto had the "70" cone, and a Getrag truck of the same year has a "75" cone.

I gave my stock cone to my lady as a Valentines gift. I didn't get to use the drinder, Dennis hooked me up before I could do that.

i run a ground pin but rotate it to the shallow side sometimes to reduce fuel, especially when towing 20k in the hills,or when somoene else borrows truck to tow. its easier than turning down fuel screw and messing with idle
