my 93 has really bad roof rot. i found a cab of the same size from a 75. has any one done this type of swap?

 

Probly doable but, ALOT of work. Dash is different, '75 had the fuel tank behind the seats, body lines are different if matching to fenders/bed (IIRC) etc.

 

just use the roof alot easier if you have access to a welder and saw

 

Roof is a different shape pre 1980 than yours. Beware.

 

all or nothing! replacing the cab or cutting off the roof. i though the lins would match

 

so do you have a STD cab or an EXT cab??

I think the lines will match up I'm pretty sure the doors are the difference. I also think the hinges and strikers of the doors may be different

 

std. cab both of them. i'm in orange county ca. and the cab has doors

 

Several late 80's trucks with good cabs in the Pick-n-Pull here. I'm sure there are in SoCal, too.

 

If ya dont mind a little drive to Idaho I have two or four in my yard.

 

Where in Idaho? I'll be driving through there before and after Thanksgiving. Going to West Yellowstone, MT.
