Brake question . . . .
A buddy and I were talking hot-rod diesels today. Somewhere in the conversation, we touched on brakes. He asked were my rear brake drums inboard, or outboard.
I confess I sorta gave him a blank stare.
I thought I had regular 'ol drum brakes.
I did a Goggle with no helpful results.
What do I have, and what's the difference?
Thanks guys,
BC

Probably what he meant was the location of the drums in relation to the hubs. 1st gens are inboard, 2nd gens are outboard. That's why we get to go through all the monkey motion of pulling the rear axles and hubs every time we want to look at the brakes.

I usually don't like to talk about brakes because, well, I don't want to talk about it.
But our brakes are inside-ish of the axle-housing-thingie... I'd assume that'd make us inner-boarders.
I say convert them to disks or something and be done with it, because I'm not gonna touch my brakes again without a blowtorch in one hand and a sledgehammer in the other.
