Ok finally bought a bhaf but i can't find any 45's or anything to couplethe turbo to a pipe to the filter. Any ideas or suggestions? I went to home depot and etc. but the biggest couplers and etc. was 4". What did u guys use for ya'll's homegrown intakes?
I think i might have something to go over the turbo, but can't find anything to fit the filter. It's the wix 42790 too if that would help ya'll any. Thanks guys.

I am going to stick this bit of info in here.

My cousin's Ford/Cummins had a real neat looking intake set-up that was made from PVC pipe and regular plumbing-store rubber 45* elbows.

He ran it this way until yesterday.

The elbow, connected to the turbo inlet, collapsed and got sucked into the turbo.

It destroyed the turbo.

I was just at Lowes, a couple weeks back, trying to find the same elbows that were used on his.

I am glad, now, that I didn't find them, and am re-thinking my intake plans.

Thats what i was wondering about when i was looking at the rubber elbows they had. They sure seemed flexible. And cheesy.
I'm thinking about scrounging around the shop at work and see if i can't find some intake tubes off a cat or waukesha.

I just used a PVC coupler (4" ID to 4"OD if I remember correctly) to connect to the filter and then used the factory tube between that and the turbo. Some short sheet metal screws make sure that the bhaf and coupler don't separate and some RTV assures a good seal.

"HOME DEPOT AND LOWES
just cheap chinese crap, you will find at these outlets. They have no place in or around extremely hot and fast moving parts on our AMERICAN made ctd's"

I hope you are not implying that Chinese stuff is ALL crap. They make anything and everything at any quality level. Blame Homely Depot if the products they order (and usually design) are crappy. I don't think that cheap crap works any better on European tubo diesels either.
