a friend of mine has a 93 ext cab. dually 2 wheel drive with an automatic and it doesnt shift into overdrive. the only way it will go in is if he lets of the gas, waits a second then gets back in it. will the "Controlling OD using governor pressure" in the sticky fix this problem? if not what should he do?

Ol' 93 mine was giving me trouble like that when I bought it , I adj. the tps and it was fine for a few days then it would shift in and out of od around 55 - 60 mph , I took the elect. conn. off at the VSS ( vehicle speed sensor ) sprayed it clean with brake cleaner , made sure the three pins were straight and put it together making sure the male to female conn. were tight and all has been beautifull since , not saying it will work but it is something else to look at .
