My truck in my signature was involved in a small mishap today at work. I am a driver for Honolulu Freight Service and a co-worker accidentally hit my rig with a Matson container as it was parked in our yard. My truck was shoved over a curb up against a chain link fence. There is substantial body damage from front to back and my friend, who is also our safety officer, was concerned about the alignment and frame getting damaged. I told him it's built pretty tough and that I would forward him a picture of just how tough our 1st Gens. are.

I woulda thought that pic would argue against your case of tough frame. Wouldn't a real tough frame leave the driver looking straight up river, or lever the rig right over the fence and into the drink?

I could picture it doing that if it had a gasser over the front. but with 3/4 of the weight of the truck being suspended over the side, it doesn't surprised me the frame did that.

Cummins over the front, plus the club cab hanging over, and all the extra weight of trans and transfercase.

Unless it's untaxed, then it's red.
