Any Adjustments to be made?
Any Adjustments to be made?
I have recently noticed an increase of smoke and it is in the 60's and upper 70's so I doubt the temperature has much to do with anything.
1) Is there any adjustments I can do to decrese the whitish-grey smoke on startup?
2) Would adjusting the valves and such help any?
3) is there such thing as a tune up? if so, what is done?
4) Could it be a messed up injector to make it smoke?
5) Is there any adjustments to be made on the injector at all?
I really dont notice the smoke when the motor gets to operating temp!
Thank you for any advice/help,
Wheelo

1 - Yes, advancing the pump timing may help. Also check to see that there is power to the KSB solenoid (located on the side of the pump) at cold start.
2 - nope
3 - nope
4 - Possibly. Does the smoke come in puffs or is it just a constant plume?
5 - Not that you can do at home.

Just checking here, is it the thing that has only one wire that is yellow?
I really did not know that there was much computer stuff to the fuel pump on a 1st gen.
Wait, there is only two things that appear to be electrical on the fuel pump, I know that one is the Shutdown soleniod, and the other is to the KSB.
Am I thinking right or am i a few fries short of a happy meal?
