'93 dash into '80 crew?

Is my '93 dash going to bolt up in the '80 crew? Steering column too? Pedals? Also, will the '93 HVAC fit in the '80 that only had HV no AC? The bummer is that my heater core started to leak so I get to pull it all apart twice since I'm not ready to do the swap.

As far as I know all of that should bolt right in. It did in the 2 '85s that I have done. You have to move the bulkhead wiring harness plug over a couple of inches but everything else should bolt right up.

The '80 had the earlier - '72 thru '80 - style dash. That's why I was wondering if anything was different. I know that most parts swap '72 thru '93 but there were some changes. I've heard that at some point the HVAC unit was changed and maybe even the hole thru the firewall was changed as well. I wanted the '81 thru '85 crew but all years are hard to find so when I found this '80 I jumped on it.

I believe that the fire walls are different for the hvac systems. Check out Trooperthorn's site http://cumminsramcharger.blogspot.com/. This is for his ramcharger conversion. http://crewcabcummins.blogspot.com/ and this is for his crew conversion

Good luck

I'm not sure if the 80 and 81 are the same, but my 81 was just a bolt up and go. Beside moving the bulkhead over a little and dirlling for the master but that was real easy!

I have never ran across a firewall that was different but I am sure there out there .as for Master cylender you are talking Clutch ? everything I have swaped so far has alway been a direct bolt in the only thing I did on my last truck was I changed the Gas pedal assy out and put the 1 from the diesel in and the plate that it bolt's to was different so I just changed the plate and all

Things changed big time from 80 to 81. Front doors, front clip, bed, interior all changed then. I'll find out soon enough on the firewall since I have to pull the HVAC in the 93 to replace the heater core. The earlier trucks had a HVAC box that split open vertically length wise instead of the top coming off to access the guts.
