91 cummins died,.won't start
My 91 died as i was headed home last night. Theoil.light came on as it died. I checked the oil and found nothing on the dipstick. I been told there is a low.oil sensor that kills the motor.so it won't burn up. If that is so, how do I reset that sensor or the ECM, so I can start it again? I really need help.to get it started so I can get to work in the morning. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you have oil in the pan.
No resetting it, if the conditions are met it will start.
That being said, I don't find anywhere in the FSM that shows a low pressure cutoff.
It doesn't sound good from what I read.

Yeah never heard of a low oil pressure cut out switch. Maybe the later 2nd and 3rd gen's saw these, but not a 1st Gen.
Hope it turns out to be something simple. Have you checked the FSS to make sure it is connected and working?

Still sittin in the drive. Colder than a well diggers *** here in WA. Tryin to get to the FSS to remove it and check it out. I have a donor truck sittin in the yard also to rob parts from. Any suggestions as how to easily remove the FSS? I also tried a jumper from the positive battery terminal to both connectors separately . Nothing from either one.

It appears the bracket is held on by 2 Allen head bolts? But I can't get in close enough to see exactly. I doubt they would be torx? Might just haft a get out the grinder n trim the bracket where she sits.

Bracket trimmed, guts pulled out of solenoid, truck fired right off. You guys on here know your ****. Thanks for all the help and suggestions. Now just gotta find a replacement for the solenoid or install a manual cable for the kill lever on the injection pump. Any suggestions?

I will bet anything you have a fusible link dead. While your truck will start and run bypassing the FSS, it will probably become evident that some other things won't work.
If it were mine, I would start figuring out which one of the fusible links either blew or corroded away.
They are on the smaller gauge positive battery cable that runs back along the drivers side, it splits into the fusible links at what they call a duckbill.
