91.5 Transmission OD?

Guys I did look but can't seem to find what I need...if someone can post a link to the thread that will answer my ? thanks.

The truck in my sig. will shift in OD fine in the mornings....but once the temp. outside warms up it starts jumping in an out of OD! (it was 73 here today) If I push the OD off button it will stop...then once I'm up to 55 or higher everything is fine. Can someone help me out?

Thanks, Tony

It requires a little monkey motion with the key and some counting. See the sticky for details.

huhh... I looked but all I found was codes for a 92, 93! mine is a 91.5 so I'm still baffled. Any way another quick ? There are two plugs connected to the tranny oil pan area... ( a coolant temp switch, and a tranny temp switch...correct? )1 with 2 wires, and 1 with 3 wires. Can these be 2 wires be wired together to go around the sensor? And the same for the 3 wires? If I'm thinking right this would let me go around these sensors and I then need to rely on my tranny temp gauge.

Thanks for all the help, Tony

Unless the check engine light is on there's not a need to check for codes. The reason I directed you to that thread was to show you what electrical problems will keep you out of OD. Please re-read it and ignore the info on codes.

Those plugs are the OD solenoid (2 wires) and NSS/reverse light switch (3 wires).
