It could a bad lift pump leaking fuel into the oil or it could be the seal at the front of the injection pump leaking. If you look online you can find the lift pump for ~$50.

The injection pump seal requires pulling the pump (I've never done it, but I don't think it would be too hard) to replace. My injection pump went at about 170,000 miles, but many seem to last far longer than that.

I second the lift pump idea. When the diaphragm goes bad/tears it will cause the pump to leak fuel into the crank case. That's what mine did...started making oil. New LP is like $80 from Napa...and that's on the high side. They can be found cheaper.

Just the normal 1stGen stuff that you would expect to possibly go wrong in a 18year old truck- front end, lights/ electrical, body.
