Body is back from the blasters, all went well. No surprises so that was a nice bonus

Wow, that came out sweet.

Can I assume that this ride will NEVER see salt roads once finished..?

or is it going to be a daily driver ?

Looks like the passenger side floor pan needs some new sheet metal. What do you guys do with pitted metal? I usually just cut around it and just replace the entire pan and weld it in. Some people I talk to are running ospho to treat the rust and then are smoothing with an epoxy filler(PC7). Apparently with the filler and the sheet metal it is stronger and more durable than steel? I've ran into situations like this, the metal is good and malleable but it has some minor pits. Sure you could spot weld if you have some major time on your hands.

Well the hard part of the conversion is done now, they did amazing work! You still have a lot of work to do though. Will be an amazing vehicle when complete, looking forward to the rest of the conversion.

Looks amazing! Do they just spot weld the panels and then seam seal? Maybe I need to stop wasting spools of metal and welding mine all the way around. Seam sealer alone is strong stuff.

I have to confess, I started some work on my RC but I didn't get too far after this;

I figured this thread was getting to pretty!

Impact gun, rusty bolt came out with a washer. Holding the socket the bolt backed out and my hand went into the bolt/washer. Much damage.. I can't feel the bottom half of my finger. I may never get feeling back. Good gloves could have saved it perhaps.
