4 door cummins powered Ramcharger build
5 Attachment(s)
The time has come after a year or two of collecting pieces. The objectives were finding a rust free ramcharger tub and and rust free crew cab. Both were found in Oregon and shipped over to McIver Custom Fabrication in Meridian, Idaho.
A breakdown of the parts are as follows; 1987 ramcharger tub 1983 crew cab 2wd shortbox 1998 P pump 215 12v Cummins with big injectors, turbo, head studs etc (I know it's not a VE, the price was right though). Truck belonged to a friend when a tree fell on it. NV5600 trans 205 T case Dana 60 kingpin, Dana 80 rear 2 longhorn buckets, need 2 more buckets and a rear bench. The vehicle will stay at McIver custom fab until body fabrication is complete, at that point I'll pick it up and complete the 4wd conversion, diesel conversion, interior, body and paint, suspension etc. And finally on with the pictures Attachment 49024 Attachment 49025 Attachment 49026 Attachment 49027 Attachment 49028 |

When I built my crew cab we were a family of 4 with plans to be a family of 5. Nature happened and we are now a family of 6. The crew cab with its 5 seats no longer fits us all so this will be built now. At least I went and seen the Doc before I had to build a 6 door Ramcharger !

The roof has been removed from the crew cab as well as both rear frames have been stripped down. Unfortunately rust was found in the crew cab so it needs to be replaced. Today the rear of the crew cab comes off, ramcharger gets cut up and ramcharger gas tank cross members, mounts etc get moved to the crew cab frame

So everything once combined will fit on the stock 149" wheel base, short box crew cab fame?
|
I was just going to ask the same thing? I thought it was going to go on a stretched frame so you could keep the complete rear tub?
|
Uh,
This looks to be one of the coolest builds EVER...:thumbsup::thumbsup: Thanks for posting pix of that roof inner panel. I've always wondered what it looked like in there .. Subscribed....:drool::drool::drool: |
