IIRC there was a company in Canada that would convert your Xtra cab to a quad cab. there was one in northern Idaho that I saw shortly after I bought my 98.5
oops just looked at the pic again ..WOW it is a suburban.. cool there has to be a good story behind that

Nice score.

It was made by a company in MN called Bayer custom. They made about 60 of them from what I can determine

Any progress on this project, or has it been mothballed for long term storage?

I still wonder if this project that had such a great start....ever got finished.

Seems to me that the hardest part of the build has been done.

I saw that he does not check in here anymore.
I was hoping with a rig that custom looking maybe someone around his area had seen it on the road, for sale somewhere or even in a diesel magazine or at a car show.

Thanks for posting that picture.

It is missing one of the two fuel filler doors it had earlier in the build, if it is the same rig.

On a similar note, there's a '91 4-door on ebay right now. Search "1991 Dodge Ram 3500 W300" or "1991 Dodge W-Series Grey 4WD Automatic W300". It's a conversion by Salem Kroger. Not a Ramcharger type body but is a crew.

Wow my BS warning alarm went off when reading that add.
One second it is a custom built '91 crew cab, the next sentence is is "almost" 100% original. Dodge never made a crew cab after '85...They also never made a crew cab long bed 4x4 in any year...
So where did the long frame come from? How about the '91 cab?

Then it is described as it has been lovingly owned my the same owner for 10 years, but in the pictures it is pretty clear it has not moved in a while. Lovingly left to rust in the back yard perhaps?

ODO doesn't work but it probably only has 6K more miles than the ODO reads....sure that sounds about right.

I will admit, it's pretty clean other than some surface rust and mud under there. Price is not terrible, although I would want to drive it around to see if it moves, or not.

Looks like a fun project to get hooked onto with about $80,000 in cash to redo it all.

No pix of the engine, which I found odd. Wouldn't the VIN number tell you what the truck was originally ?
