2 piece driveshaft question...??

Anyone know if there is any unusual wear that might occur if the two drive shafts are not of the same material and weights?

My crewcab has mis-matched drive shafts. Front shaft from tranny to carrier bearing is a heavy cummins unit. Then from the carrier bearing back to the axle it's a light duty gas unit. I'm concerned that the different weights might cause undue wear on the carrier bearing?

I measured my drive shafts last night and from center of u-joint at tranny, down to center u-joint at axle I have 101"...so 8'6"!!! I will need a new u-joint end for the Dana 70 going in, since the dana 60 is from a gas powered truck so runs the small mopar style U-joint.

As long as they are both balanced and in time probably will work.

On your jack shaft the yokes have to be straight down the entire shaft in line if you dont get it in the right splines on the jack shaft it will vibarate. I dont know how to make it clearer w/o drawing a pic. and dont know how to do that onthe pc. But a driveshaft shop will know what im talking about. Will anyone else take a stab at it?

This Spicer .pdf pretty much explains everything; angles, lengths, diameter, and speed relationships:
