Cool 1st gen in Diesel Power Mag march 08

Hey guys, in the march 2008 issue of Diesel Power mag there is a 89 1st gen d250. The last two issues they've had it. The first time in january they were looking over the body and drivetrain and were saying about the slipping 727 and the rust free calif. body. But in february they put ''dynomite diesel'' injectors in and noticed no smoke or power difference (stock non i/c are big). In the latest issue they rotated the diaphragm and cut the collar on the power screw and turned it deep. They did not say anything about the timing but what do you expect its ''Diesel power'' not ''1st gen power''. They picked up 70hp and 98 LB-FT of torque with injectors and pump mods, P.S. they want to put it in the 12's in the 1/4 mile. Keep your eyes on the new issue there goin to do gauges and trans work. Cant wait to see the final result. Finally looks like they got my letter.

I only have 3 turns or so on mine and am at the nonintercooled limit (with pods). Surprised they havent had meltdown. 'turns' to them is probably a flick of the ratchet rather than one full revolution.

My thoughts exactly, but maybe taking out the non-ic injectors is saving them. It said they turned in the fuel screw more and it smoked more but no more power. It has to be running pretty hot, eh?

my guess is that they counted the turns from it being all the way out, hope no one trys to just turn the screw in 14 turns from where they already have it stock
