1st gen cab with 2nd gen bed

I have never had a 1st gen but the other day I saw a 92 or 93 white truck with a 2nd gen style dually bed on it. was a old man didnt get a chance to stop and talk to him. didnt think the bed line would match up but it looked pretty cool. anyone ever done this. have to ask him if I see him again.

i'm with you on that one. haven't it before but wondering how it would look and if mounting would be somewhat easy. i'm looking into putting one on my cab & chassis model.

The credit union where I bank had a 92 that they repo'ed with a 2nd gen dually bed on it. It looked like... Well it looked like it didn't belong there.

Yeah, I've seen one with the 2nd gen bed and I thought it looked bad. I think an old Chevy or Ford bed would look better, at least they match the boxy cab somewhat.

There was a truck for sale on here maybe a year ago, Blue 1st gen with a Red 2nd gen bed. HORRIBLE!!!!!!

Can't find a nice box, build a flatbed. IMO.

Yeah, last night I saw one here at UW-Platteville with a late model F-250 bed. Someone went through the trouble to color-match it perfectly too. It would have looked better with no bed at all.

I saw one like that with a newer step side. The only trucks that get away with that are the newer 99-06 chevys and the ?90-98?
