1st gen 89 d350 cost

I am looking at buying a 89 1st gen 12v d350 flatbed. It has no rust and everything looks good. It has around 150k miles. The driver door sags when opened and the Windows don't work. The paint is faded but looks good and the bed has some rust but not much. He wants $2000 for it. Is that too cheap? I have heard 12v Cummins are really expensive and am thinking something might be wrong since he is selling so cheap. Also how much do you think getting the door re-hinged and the windows fixed cost?

-Sorry I got the year wrong on the thread. I can't figure out how to edit that-

That is cheap, the motor/trans together will go for more that that.

If the truck starts quickly, there isn't tons of pressure coming out the oil fill pipe when the cap is removed, it's shifts thru the gears fine and doesn't pop out of gear if it's a manual I'd buy it. Door hinge pins can be bought at NAPA or Orilies and the window could be as easy as a fuse, wire or if more complicated a door change.

Thank you 1320Fastback I really appreciate the feedback. It needs a new battery but we jumped it very easily. It is an automatic but shifts fine. When up to 50-60 mph there is a slight vibration, I am thinking it's just alignment. Oil is clean and it has a new injector pump.

Sounds like a great deal. But alignments don't cause vibrations, tire/wheel and driveshaft/u-joint issues are the most common causes..

A D350 has a 2 piece drive shaft. Any tightness in any u-joint will make it shake like grandpa. Probably not a big deal.

Thanks guys for all the info and help. I am definitely buying it. I will check all the u-joints and see if that stops the shaking. I may post a picture of it on here when I get her.
