1992 cummins p-pump conversion

i looked thru past threads and found some info on this but my buddy wants to p-pump his 92 and we have the pump, lines, front cover, my question is his truck is an automatic and has a tps sensor on the injection pump what do you do about that and what about the kickdown cable, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Quite a few people here seem to really prefer the potentiometer replacement for the TPS anyway so you could just do that. There is a thread in the "sticky" on the process. The P-pump must have a TPS of some kind? I have never seen one up close.

I would like to do this also. But after reading post here,...I have decided that if I do it.
I will find an engine with the P pump and replaced the whole engine.
Very well maybe less expense and less work too.

A P-pumped truck with an auto uses a TPS, too. Just get that setup and you are good to go.
