Holy parts batman
Today it decided the only easy way to assemble and dissemble my spring hanger brace is to make it a bolt on. So I welded up some flanges and bolted the hangers up (Again). It only took a little fitting to get the brace to fit.
All that was left to do was transfer punch and drill.A Little touch up and clean up and I am ready for some paint. who hoo!

 

I was trying to picture in my head, if and how, you where going to assemble that whole spring hanger unit and bolt it on as one assembly.

I see now.

I couldn't figure a way to do it in one piece either. No matter how I would have tried to weld it the shrinkage would have bit me.
I think it is the best compromise I could come up with.

 

I like all the holes.


You could keep your bumper off and fill each hole with a rubber grommet and LED lamp. That would look cool.

 

Hey, yeah Then I could make a cover to put one in each spring hanger that would reflect through the holes on the ends.
Maybe if I buy enough of them I would get the trucker discount.

 

Chicken lights....

 

That must be a mid west /eastcoast name for them. I hadn't heard it until I started hanging out on the Dodge Cummins boards.

 

OK then maybe sequential turn signals.

 

Around here the poultry haulers were doing well, and blingin' up their trucks with the windfall. That's how they got named chicken lights.

 

We are mostly loggers and dump trucks. I have done both.
